Join us on a Pilgrimage as we walk the Camino de Santiago (Way of St James) from Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in Galacia, Spain. 280km of winding roads through the most beautiful scenery will provide a quiet setting to go on a spiritual inward journey.

Tsitsikamma hiking adventure
TRIP COST INCLUDES:
4 Days of hiking
Transfers from Jeffreys Bay to start point and back after finishing the hike

TRIP COST EXCLUDES:
A R600 nonrefundable deposit which needs to be paid with registration. The Balance of R1000 needs to be paid by 25 November 2024

Airport transfers from Port Elizabeth airport can be arranged
Accommodation for the evening of the 5th of December in Jeffreys Bay is available at R150 per person

Tsitsikamma hiking adventure
What to Expect
Ready to embark on a thrilling adventure in the breathtaking Tsitsikamma Mountains and Forests? Imagine cosy campfires, refreshing swims in natural pools, and stargazing under the vast night sky during idyllic summer evenings.
Embark on a hiking adventure through the heart of the Tsitsikamma Trail, a Southern Cape paradise. Traverse lush indigenous Afromontane forests and vibrant mountain fynbos on this moderately challenging trail, suitable for hikers with a good level of fitness.
Day 1: 17.7km (Departing Early from Jeffreys Bay) Begin your adventure at the Natures Valley Rest Camp. Your destination for the day is the Bloukrans Hut, perched dramatically on a cliff’s edge. Enjoy breathtaking views of the cascading river gorges below, the majestic Peak Formosa, and the Tsitsikamma Mountains rising in the distance. A stunning Coca-Cola-coloured waterfall tumbles down the cliffside, just a few hundred meters beneath the hut’s balcony.”
Day 2: 13.4km
Delve deeper into the remote and enchanting Tsitsikamma Mountains and Forests on Day 2. Experience a true sense of isolation as you traverse trails winding through vibrant fynbos and lush indigenous forests. The exciting crossing of the Bloukrans River at Waterwitelsgat offers a refreshing swim and a much-needed rest. The remainder of the day follows a relatively flat path through flower-rich fynbos and relic forest, leading you to the Keurbos Hut nestled in a wetter, forested area.
Day 3: 13km
Experience the diversity of the Tsitsikamma on Day 3, traversing through varied habitats and thrilling river crossings. Ascend Rushes Pass at a leisurely pace, pausing to admire the breath-taking views. Discover hidden pockets of untouched indigenous forest nestled in remote mountain regions. Descend along the western bank of the Elandsbos River before crossing it at the designated point. Explore the secrets of Heuningbos indigenous forest and cross the Kleinbos River twice on your way to the Heuningbos Hut. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the nearby pool to rejuvenate after your adventure.
Day 4: 5km
Conclude your adventure with a 5km hike south towards the Boskor Sawmill. Celebrate your accomplishment with a celebratory brunch at Storms River Village before heading back to Jeffreys Bay.
