We write this looking out at a view which would humble even the most experienced traveler: mountains, soaring into the sky, snow capped white peaks seeming to reach up into heaven. Cattle grazing on the hills, and villages built in between where the sky meets the earth.
Georgia has been such a wonderful country. We have been here two months, and have been so blessed in our time here. Flying straight from Thailand, we arrived just in time to begin an English teaching program with our hosts. Working in several villages, we were welcomed with an absolutely humbling hospitality. We were ed...
As our last country in Asia, Thailand was filled with a certain nostalgia. Driving in the back of bakkies past rice fields, with mountains in the distance, and sunset walks that took our breath away! Our time in Thailand was slightly unusual, as the country was split into two blocks, three weeks on the front end, before heading to Laos, and two weeks on the back end, after returning from Laos. Thus, we were blessed to spend time with several different...
Mud puddles, rainy days, dancing, sign language and green forests, French Colonial buildings built bare blocks down from temples decorated red and gold, with carvings so precise they make you feel as though you’ve stepped into an alternate world. It was encouraging to see how these fellow believers worked for His glory everyday.
We arrived in Malaysia on April 6th, after an intense week of travel. Leaving Johannesburg on April 1st, we flew to Bangkok, Thailand, spending the night there before pressing on...
