“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” – Proverbs 16:9 We had about a week left in Malaysia, thinking that we would spend it serving at a church in Kuala Lumpur. After a night in Kuala Lumpur we were surprised by our leaders with an announcement that we were about to have a travel challenge. All 19 of us were going to travel on scooters to an unknown (to most of us) location. The idea was to go on a retreat adventure with Jesus. God is so multifaceted and you experience something totally different of Him when you go on an adventure with complete...

Our first international ministry point done and dusted. Malaysia with its rich culture variety really opened our minds toward a broader picture of the world we live in and the green team has been so blessed throughout the week and a half we have spent here. God proves time and again that His plan for us is way better than what we could ever imagine! Having fun with the PCC kids! Our team worked together with PCC (Penang Christian Centre). This ministry point included kids and youth ministry, home cell groups, painting and some improvements made within the building. Three of our team...

God knows how to make us feel special, because it happened to be Helé’s birthday. We were still enjoying a time of rest when it was announced that we would be having our first Luke 10 challenge. In Luke 10 Jesus sends the disciples out in pairs with nothing but...

How blessed are we to minister at our first ministry point? It is an absolute privilege to go out into the nations as ambassadors for Jesus and to see how He moves. Going out into the unknown was both exciting and nerve wracking, but we learned if you have no expectations you won’t have any disappointments! Arriving at our new Missions House, the smell of a home cooked meal welcomed us. We were blessed with beds and warm showers after our two day travel. Isn’t God wonderful?  For the next 5 days the team dove straight into work. Many empty paint cans and dirty brushes later, the...
