A Moment of Praise – Intro

Introduction

Recently our team has been reminded about the fact that the God we serve is truly our provider. This whole year has been an amazing testament of how well the Father looks after us, and we just thought it fit to share some amazing testimonies about how He has consistently shown up for us this year.

We see the importance of sharing what He is doing in our lives and for that reason, we cannot keep quiet. We are overflowing with gratitude and we wish to impart unto you the reasons we are developing what I believe is unwavering faith.

Let this be a moment of praise. To look back and simply be in awe.

Holy Spirit, we pray over whoever is reading this, we pray that they will get a fresh revelation of who you are and that their faith will be strengthened with every word that they read. We thank you for the work you’ve done in each one of our lives before and during this year and we do not doubt that you’ll continue to show up for us.

Amen

Moment One

Where to begin?
How do I pick what to share when I feel like every waking moment of this journey and our whole lives have been in some form, proof of God’s provision.

The beauty of looking back on the past few months of the journey is that now when I think about God’s provision, I don’t just see it in the context of my own life. God showed himself to me as the provider also through my teammates. I got to be part of every moment of prayer and every joyous celebration for the answered prayers, and I can’t explain to you what a privilege it’s been to be a witness of His works in their lives. I never realised what true revelations I was getting about God’s character until I understood that I had never actually seen God as my provider before this year. The very fact that His provision was a surprise to me, says enough about my lack of trust in Him before.

One of the areas where God provided abundantly was through finances. Team finances and my own. Consistently through this year, God has been showing up for our team through personal finances, and our team funds. Never once this year did we experience a complete lack. Each of us met the payment deadlines for our year funding and we’ve never not had anything to eat on the table. This isn’t just a testament of his provision through finances but it also served to show how powerful it is when His body unites and works together to help each other. Even when finances were tight, the Lord placed the right people in our lives to bless us with exactly what we needed. Every single time, God showed up, without failure.

Personally, my perception of provision was truly altered in our Luke 10 experiences. It’s during times when we truly have no choice but to fully trust in Him that we can see Him show up with no doubt that it is of the supernatural. We did what the world would exclaim is impossible and crazy, because we were hungry to see the Lord work, and each time we were fed. I realised that it’s not always the grand testimonies of provision that display His glory in its full might…sometimes it’s the small daily provisions that we take for granted that truly prove how consistent and attentive He is with us. A meal on the table, a place to sleep, a shower, transport…. When you’re put into such an extreme situation like Luke 10, where you rely on God for all those things that we didn’t even pass as God’s provision, you realise that it’s us that’s been placing a cloud of mist over His hand in our lives.

Sometimes all it takes is a little clarity, and then we see how faithful He’s been… all our lives.

I’m grateful to the Lord for how faithful He has been in my finances as well. This whole year has been a gigantic uncertainty in regards to finances within my family, and I’ve just seen God provide for me through my parent’s time after time. He provided the right job opportunities back home and moved in the hearts of so many people around me, urging them to give, even when they didn’t have much. He has taken such good care of me and I know He isn’t done.

God doesn’t call us to His obedience and then abandon us. He has promised to always be with us and my choice to do this year even with so many question marks on the way is proof of that.

He is not done yet…and I cannot wait to see what He still has in store for us.
